It's no fun being a "3"

...at least a Female 3 that is.

The Ronde van Brisbane only has a women's 3 race on the first day. The circuit race, no luck. There is a women's 4 race that day, but nothing for the 3's (or the 1's or 2's either...)

The Cascade Cycling Classic only has a Pro/1/2 women's race.

The Mt. Hood Cycling Classic only has a Pro/1/2 women's race.

Oh well...guess I better get stronger so I can race with the guys. But by then I'd probably also be strong enough to be a 2! (that is, if there were races to enter so I could get upgrade points)

There's always Kern...

Ciao!

I hear you. Rondee von Brisbeen is really a P/1/2/3 race for men and P/1/2 for women; other categories are relegated to one of the two events, only, so I am doing just the one I can enter (the Circuit race). No field for me at either Merco event this weekend, either. But it is usually the women that get short changed most.

One good sign from last weekend is that Snelling had almost 80 Cat 4 women signed up, and the original field of 50 was one of the first groups to fill. With that kind of demand perhaps the promoters will feel the need to keep/add more women's fields.

There is Menlo Park (very women oriented, and it has a W3 field), Madera, and the Wente Vineyards RR and Crit, all before Kern ...

...and with the new upgrade guidelines you'll be a 2 before you know it...good luck at Merco if you go, looks like it'll be a big W3/4 field...
